Come for the ambiance - stay for the food - leave when they turn off the lights. Best price for Dr Pepper in San Rafael. Even the rats down the alley are friendly.
I got the fig and turkey sandwich and it was great. Next time I'll order it without the red onions that come standard but it was huge, fresh, and tasty. I got it to go and probably will again. The seating area is more utilitarian than welcoming. There were a few guys sitting there and it didn't have tons of space or cozy nooks for solo eaters. With that said, the service was fast and friendly and the sandwich was great. I'll be back.
GOCHUJANG PORK This is by far one of the most unique tasting sandwiches I've ever had. Very tasty and enough to feed 2 people or one hungry person. MANGO SALAD This is dress dressing was perfect in the salad. I highly recommend this. It's big enough for one person or you can share it with two people. SERVICE Friendly service. However, it took about 20 minutes to get my order. There was at least seven people in front of me during the lunch hour. I hope they are able to speed up their sandwich prepping. Otherwise overall good service.
Quite possibly my new favorite place in San Rafael, maybe Marin County, to get a breakfast sandwich! Serviced on a soft roll, with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, sausage, bacon, and spring mix in it! What's an excellent touch is their hot honey included in it. Everything you want with the savory, salty, sweet. You won't be hungry after eat this breakfast sandwich. Also try the avocado, egg, miso butter toast also. That's also excellent, and also has their hot honey with it. The service is friendly. And the location is roomy and clean.
Think I found my new sandwich place! Spotless both inside and out. Pleasantly surprised by the back patio to enjoy my delicious sub. Will be back!
2nd review but 3rd sandwich. I had my second pastrami bomb and it was exactly as delicious as the first... consistency is the hallmark of a good food establishment. Today I tried the Philly cheesesteak and it was also a delicious " bomb ". I haven't a clue if it's comparable to going to Philly and getting a sandwich- it's been a long time since I've been back East but the flavor and texture in this version is mouth watering. There's food you eat and it's just food, right? Especially with sandwiches because they often just taste of Mayo or other condiments but these make you smile and moan. This place is with a drive but I live 2 blocks away so I guess I'll just have to eat my way through their specials.
Went to the reopening today. The place was spotless. The subhut special I ordered was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful! Had a few words with Kat, the general manager, and she couldn't be more friendly and inviting. Definitely going back again, and advise everyone to do the same!
